Teema: [VÄLJAST] (resent)Visit to MOJ and court
Dear Ms. Margit Lauri,
To whom it may concern,
I am KAN Hiroki, a judge of Japan. I'm working as a staff attorney in the
information policy division and the civil affairs bureau of general
secretariat of the Supreme Court of Japan.
I heard Ms. Lauri's name and email addressed from Embassy of Japan in
Estonia.
I sent email to Ms.Lauri on December 12th, but because there might be some
sort of troubles, I haven't receive your reply.
Please let me send the same email as I sent to Ms. Lauri and whom it may
concern today.
I am writing to you regarding a visit to Ministry of Justice and Courts in
Estonia(e.g. Harju County Court, Tallinn Administrative Court, Tallinn
Circuit Court).
Let me explain the background of this email.
I'm planning a business trip to Estonia in order to research how the
information technology is used in the court system in Estonia.
As you may know, courts in Japan fall behind other countries in the area of
digitalization. So we are learning practical examples of other countries.
Then we know Estonia has the most advanced digitalized court system(and the
administrative system) in the world. But unfortunately, we didn't have a
chance to visit Estonia before.
Because of that, we really want to visit and research the court system in
Estonia.
Then, I am wondering it would be possible for us to visit the MOJ, RIK and
the above courts and to interview with judges and staffs who is responsible
for information technology policy in court system.
We are planning the business trip for a week in the end of February or
March.
So could you tell me if you can accept my request.
At this time, we haven't decided whether we can visit Estonia and the
detailed schedule.
But I really appreciate you will let me know what you think about it.
Sorry for my sudden request.
If you have any questions, please ask me.
Thank you.
Best wishes,
KAN Hiroki (Mr.)
