This project aims to shed light onto trends in public opinion prior to the transition to Estonian-language instruction related to education, citizenship, and belonging. Data from the Estonian Integration Monitoring Survey from years 2011–2023 will supplement public opinion survey data that I have collected in 2024 and 2025 about the transition. Description of the use of the database(s), access rights, storage and destruction conditions. In keeping with the ethics committee data protection standards at Princeton University, all data received for this project will be stored in encrypted folders and on a password- protected computer. Preferred format (e.g. CSV, Excel, SPSS, TXT) CSV, Excel or SPSS are preferred, but the researcher is grateful for delivery in any format. *Files are sent as an encrypted email attachment after the application is approved (Estonian ID card required) or through a secure data exchange environment. If necessary, another method of data transmission can be agreed upon that complies with the requirements for secure processing of personal data.
