Subject: Interview on the introduction of e-labelling in the EU
Dear Sir or Madam,
VVA (http://www.vva.it/en) have been commissioned by Digital Europe
(http://www.digitaleurope.org/Welcome) and the Mobile & Wireless Forum (MWF -
http://www.mwfai.org/about.cfm) to carry out a study on “Cost-benefit analysis on the introduction of
e-labelling in the EU”. (For more information, please refer to endorsement letter attached).
The introduction of e-labelling in the European Union could have a major impact on industry,
consumers and market surveillance authorities in Europe and across the world. Therefore, it is deemed
essential to understand what could be its implications in terms of product compliance, product
competitiveness and market surveillance.
Specifically, the study aims to assess:
- Costs and economic benefits for companies in demonstrating compliance of their products;
- Costs and benefits for the market surveillance authorities.
Our main source of information for the study are interviews with stakeholders.
Therefore, considering your position at the national market surveillance authority, we would be very
interested to discuss your views on a potential digitalization of the current paper-based system.

minutes within the next 2 weeks?
