Ref: 130-9/10/2020 Alex. Estonian Maritime Administration Good day It is a great pleasure to contact your Excellency to announce about our services introduced by the IMO Compound of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, located in the head quarter in Abo Quir - Alexandria, Egypt. The AASTMT had been given the honour by the Council of the “Arab Ministers of Transport” decision to host the Arab Marine Accident Investigation Centre (AMAIC) in October 2018. In compliance with UNCLOS and other IMO conventions and codes, the roles of AMAIC are to contribute in capacity building of investigators and administrators of maritime authorities of Contracting Governments and to contribute with maritime authorities in investigating marine casualties, direct and root causes analysis and reports writing and submission to the IMO, for enhancement of safety and environmental protection. The IMO Compound of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) introduces technical service to shipping companies, maritime administrations and port authorities. As the IMO compound has accessibility to IMO meetings and publications, we are delighted to share the knowledge and information about the latest updates and IMO conventions with maritime transport firms.
