Ares(2020)3959341 - 27/07/2020 CleanSeaNet National Competent Authorities of Member States, Iceland and Norway. CC: CNTA Focal Points of Member States and EEA Countries. Invitation letter sent by e-mail only Lisbon, 27 July 2020 Subject: CleanSeaNet Training for Duty Officers (Virtual Training) available on 23, 24, 29, 30 September 2020 Dear Sir or Madam, Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, and the uncertainties regarding its future evolution, the Agency has taken the decision, for the time being, to postpone all traditional planned “face-to-face” training actions, as a precautionary measure and in order to prioritise the safety of participants and staff. To ensure continuity of the capacity building services for Member States, the Agency intends to deliver CleanSeaNet Training for Duty Officers in live broadcasting synchronous mode using the Microsoft Teams application, as per the attached agenda (Annex I). The European Maritime Safety Agency would like to invite you to designate 2 persons from your country to participate. The training will last 1 day and will be repeated on four dates 23/09/2020; 24/09/2020; 29/09/2020 and 30/09/2020. The registration for the training sessions will be on a first come, first served basis. Participants may register for their preferred training dates, until the maximum limit per session has been reached (15 persons max), at which point the registration for that date will be closed. The training course is intended for operational users of the CleanSeaNet service, such as duty officers working in Maritime Rescue and Coordination Centres (MRCCs), pollution response services and maritime Authorities. The learning outcomes of the course should enable participants to:  Understand the operational use of CleanSeaNet for polluter identification and response;  Access and use information/data from SEG;  Interpret the content of the Alert report;  Use the Feedback form to report verification of detected spills for service validation.
