Dear Sir/Madam,
The Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development (DG AGRI) of
the European Commission has launched a new study on Food affordability in
the European Union, including the contribution of the Common Agricultural
Policy (CAP). The study is being carried out by Wageningen University and
Ecorys.
We would like to kindly remind you of the opportunity to contribute to the
study by completing the online survey, if you have not already taken part.
To allow sufficient time for all stakeholders to participate, the deadline
for completing the survey has been extended to Friday, 16 January 2026.

The European Commission has entrusted Wageningen University & Research (‘the
company’) to conduct the study in subject, which is being carried out under a contract
between the company and the Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural
Development.
Given the importance the Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development
attaches to this study, I would be grateful if all private and institutional contacts could
offer their collaboration and provide the company with the information requested by the
contractor. The terms of the contract require the company to treat with confidentiality
any information and documents (except if publicly available), in any form, disclosed in
writing or orally in relation to the implementation of the contract.
