Dear Ivo,
It is my pleasure to invite you to attend the International Sea Power Conference 2026 (ISPC 26) as
an in-person delegate on Tuesday 10 November 2026, on board HMS PRINCE OF WALES in
Oslo, Norway.
The conference will bring together senior leaders and experts from government, the military,
industry and academia to consider the opportunities and challenges shaping the maritime domain
in an increasingly contested global environment. It will provide a valuable opportunity to engage
with international partners and contribute to discussions on the future of maritime security and
cooperation.
This year’s theme is “Maritime Advantage in an Era of Intensifying Strategic Competition”. As
competition intensifies across the globe, the conference will explore how maritime nations can
secure influence, deter aggression and protect prosperity through the effective application of
collective maritime power.
The conference will also provide an important opportunity for the Joint Expeditionary Force Chiefs
of Navy to come together and formally launch the JEF Maritime Framework, a significant piece of
work that we have collectively developed over recent months. I am extremely grateful for the
contribution made by your navy and believe this marks an important milestone in strengthening the
maritime dimension of the JEF. I would very much like all the JEF Chiefs of Navy to join me on
stage during the conference to mark and celebrate this achievement together, demonstrating our
shared commitment to enhanced maritime cooperation, collective security and regional deterrence.
Additionally, I intend to bring JEF Chiefs of Navy together for dinner opportunity in Oslo around the
conference. The location, timings and further details will follow separately. Further information on
logistics and joining instructions will be provided once your attendance is confirmed. I would be
grateful if your office could RSVP by return to [email protected] and
[email protected] .
I hope you will be able to join me in Oslo.
