Circular Letter 06/2020
17 July 2020
Subject: Second half 2020 committee arrangements
To: All Members and Sister Organizations
Dear Members,
The Secretariat have been monitoring the current COVID-19 situation with the September / October committees
foremost in our minds. We are of the view that the most appropriate option in these uncertain circumstances is to
facilitate all remaining 2020 IALA meetings virtually. This will mitigate against the risk of further meeting cancellations,
provide the maximum amount of time to plan for the committees and ensure the ongoing operational efficiency of
IALA.
At an extra-ordinary session of the Policy Advisory Panel on the 2 July, the working arrangements for the committees
were agreed and, subsequently, I am now able to confirm that the dates for the remaining 2020 meetings are:
PAP40 ENAV26
31 August, 2 – 3 September 2020 (Monday, Input paper deadline – 28 August 2020
Wednesday and Thursday) Opening Plenary – 29 September 2020
Closing Plenary – 23 October 2020

Opening Plenary – 28 September 2020 13 –15 October 2020 (Tuesday to Thursday)

Details of the virtual committee working arrangements will be communicated to you in conjunction with the
invitations to the meetings. The working arrangements will also be made available on the IALA website. If you have
any questions please do not hesitate to contact us by e-mailing
[email protected].
Thank you all for your continued dedication and the time you give to ensure that the IALA committees keep working
in these unprecedented times.
