Council List A and B1 Dear Councillors, The Chair of the ECO Council, Dr. Samuel Ritchie, has announced his retirement and instructed the ECO to start a call for nomination for a new Chair of Council to be elected at the next ECO Council meeting on 15-16 December 2026. In accordance with the ECO Convention Article 6(2) the Council shall elect its Chair, who shall be a representative of a Contracting Party. The term of office shall be three years, renewable for one period. In order to enable the ECO Council to elect a new Chair of Council I formally launch the call for nominations, and I kindly invite all interested candidates for the position to send me ([email protected]) their application not later than 13 November 2026. Please note that in case of more than one candidate the decision will be taken in accordance with Rules of Procedure of the ECO Council Article 5bis. I look forward to hearing from you.
