Thank you very much for the productive meeting we held during my visit to Estonia on 27 October.
I came back from the visit impressed by the resilience of your country and fully energised by its vibrant civil
society. The courage, unity and civic engagement that you have demonstrated are an inspiration to all
Europeans and mirror the values that the EESC represents - democracy, participation and social cohesion in
the face of adversity.
Staying true to the motto of my Presidency programme, I will endeavour to put civil society at the heart of
Estonia and Europe.
