It is either me (Ms. Lutsoja) or Ms. Telling who will deal with the topic. In general, most of Estonian chemical legislation is based on the general EU law. There is no general ban for lead chromate in Estonia. We do have occupational safety limit for chrome and it’s anorganic compounds (calculated to lead) for 8h exposure of 0,1 (dust) or 0,05 mg/m3. Lead causes major harm to human health globally. The Rotterdam Convention website has listed this address as the official contact point for Estonia, is that correct? I'm trying to understand the process for notification of new chemicals, and whether Estonia can play a role in global lead paint elimination by helping get lead chromate onto the Annex III of the Rotterdam Convention. Can you help stop the trade in toxic trade in lead chromate by notifying the Rotterdam Convention if lead chromate has been banned in Estonia?
