PIANC The World Association for Brussels, 18 March 2020. Waterborne Transport Infrastructure Dear All, The situation derived from Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is difficult, particularly in some geographic areas. Governments and International Organizations as World Health Organization are taking special measures or issuing recommendations to reduce the risk of propagating. In many countries, there are severe restrictions to travel and displacements and working from home is encouraged. Being PIANC The World Association for Waterborne Transport Infrastructure, our main worry at present is the health of all our members, friends and stakeholders worldwide, as well as the health of their families and loved ones. This is our first priority. PIANC events are being postponed or cancelled according to the situation, looking for the best possible solution until normal conditions are restored. We will keep you informed about upcoming news. Networking in the Commissions, Working Groups and Task Groups are essential to the substance of our Association. We encourage to continue activities by utilizing electronic communication and video and teleconferences as a manner to keep contact wile cooperating in reducing the transmission of the disease. PIANC President, Secretary General and HQ staff are acting from home, connected and available to the PIANC Community.
