The problem was that most of training at PRH is given in Finnish but I think that now we have a promising possibility to try to continue collaboration. On week 18-22.8, USPTO representatives will pay a three day training visit to our office. 20.8. we will have a public seminar covering the following topics: - recent and coming changes in the US patent law. Special attention will be paid on IT issues. - Patent Prosecution Highway - Finnish IT companies will speak about their experiences and expectations of US patent system In addition, USPTO representatives will arrange two days of internal training about changes in the US patent law. One day will focus on IT inventions and another day on biotechnology. You are welcome to the public seminar and if some of your examiners are interested we could ask USPTO if you could take part in the internal training as well. US patent law is quite different to European convention in these fields, but many companies have important markets in US as well, and therefore, we are trying to keep on track with USPTO as well. I’m really sorry that I present this idea with so tight schedule, but unfortunately we are still waiting for the final confirmation from the USPTO. What do you think?
