I am very pleased to announce that EGT has new director and her name is Sirli Sipp Kulli. Please updated
the EGS Directors mailing list with Sirli’s e-mail
[email protected] and hopefully she can attend on the
48th EuroGeoSurveys General Meeting and GeoERA Directors’ Workshop in Slovenia.
On the other hand, please find attached the corrected EGT members info of EGS Expert Groups. I hope it
is not too much trouble to add EGT general e-mail to each expert group list.

Thanks for confirmation of the changes. We have updated the EGS Directors mailing list with Andres
Marandi for the time being, until Alvar’s successor is officially appointed.
I have put together the current list of EGT members in each EGS Expert Group, see attached. While
putting the list together I noticed two issues, highlighted in red. In the EOEG list, Heidi Soosalu has been
flagged as not receiving mails from the mailing list, so I presume either she is no longer working at EGT
and the email is inactive, or else there is possibly a mistake in the email address. The other concerns
Kristiina Ojamäe in the WREG list, who’s email is still the old version – can you please provide her EGT
email if she is to remain in this expert group?
The full expert group lists can be found on the EGS intranet, however I noticed these have not been
updated recently with the latest lists we have on file due to staff changes. A new Scientific Officer will be
starting with us today and one of her tasks will be to manage the expert groups, so these will be
updated very soon.

I wish you too successful year 2020.
Alvar was finished employment as Director of EGT at the end of year and the Ministry has started
opening call already at the end of last year. To this period Andres Marandi substituting the Director
position. It’s reasonable if you make changes about this on EuroGeoSurvey website after the Ministry
has appointed new director. It will be happen probably after week(s).
At the moment we reviewing also a list of the of the experts in the EuroGeoSurvey Expert Groups. We
need to make some personal changes here too. In this case would you please give me advise where we
can find the existing list and make changes if needed.

I am contacting you regarding the recent departure of Alvar Soesoo I have seen on the EGT website that
Dr Andres Marandi has taken the position of Acting Director. Can you please confirm this and let me
know if we should replace Alvar with Dr Marandi on the EGS Directors mailing list? In case Dr Marandi
will be in this position for some time, we will also update our website with his details.
