C‐MAP YEAR 2020 LICENCING ISSUE

Many ECDIS systems in the market today built upon a kernel supplied by C-
MAP. This kernel used to load, license and display chart data in C –MAP CM-
93 format such as CAES, CEES and Professional+. The kernel was first
introduced 20 years ago and has been through numerous iterations up to
today’s version 6.06.
Unfortunately, all kernel versions prior to 5.5 had an issue where licenses with
an expiry of February 2020 or later would be rejected by the licensing
mechanism with the error message “Logon Failure: The specified account
password has expired”.
Our OEM partners updated their systems in 2014 with kernels later than 5.4 to
fix the problem and most end users have subsequently updated their systems
and consequently are not affected by this issue, but some older systems
remain in the market today.
If your system returns the above error message when applying a new license
with an expiry of February 2020 or later, please contact your local C-MAP
representative office or our support team as soon as possible, they would be
able to provide you with a solutions that you can continue to use your
subscribed chart data until the issue is totally resolved.

uuele platvormile, puudub võimalus uuendada C-MAP ENC kaarate SIMRAD CS68
ECDIS’l alates 31.01.2020 järgnevatel laevadel:

RPL KIHNU VIRVE IMO:9753129;
HSC RUNÖ IMO:9643336
Kuna SIMRAD CS68 ECDIS’l ei ole enam võimalik uuendada C-Map SDK tarkvara.
Seoses sellega oleks vaja uuendada vastavatel laevadel ECDIS’e riistvara.
