Dear Madam,
Dear Sir,
We were referred by the Finantsinspektsioon of Estland (FI) to your authority in order to obtain
information on Estonian law regarding specific questions.
The Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) is responsible for the supervision of
financial markets in Switzerland, which includes banks, insurance companies, investment funds,
stock exchanges and securities firms, as well as other financial intermediaries. In this framework we
would like to organize a call in order to understand some aspects of the Estonian law.
In general terms, we are interested in getting a better understanding of the legal requirements that a
company active in the financial market must comply with to obtain a certain license in Estonia. It
would be of great value to us to be able to talk with you about the requirements and consequences of
a license of the type "Financial services, Providing a virtual currency service" according to Estonian
law. Specifically, what are the legal requirements for such a license, how is a company that obtains
this type of license supervised and how are client's funds handled in case of bankruptcy of the
company.
Therefore, we kindly ask you if it would be possible to arrange a call on one of the following days :
January 22, 2024 : between 10.00 and 12.00 (CET) / 11:00 and 13:00 (EET)
January 23, 2024 : between 11.00 and 12.00 (CET) / 12:00 and 13:00 (EET)
January 24, 2024 : between 10:00 and 12:00 (CET) / 11:00 and 13:00 (EET)
We look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards
Adriano Huber Basilio Nunnari
