In particular, if (i) Government Bodies in your country (e.g., government, armed forces, peace keepers, etc.), or (ii) international bodies like the United Nations, or (iii) other Governments, or (iv) service providers on their behalf, want to use a satellite equipment in your country. - What are the specific regulations that would apply to them if these exist? o Register as an Electronic Service provider? (I don’t think it is the case) NO o Do they need to apply for a licence? What license? Frequency authorisation is needed in case of FSS Earth stations if the military authority applies for frequencies in civil or shared (civ/mil) bands. o Are they exempted? MSS is exempted from licence. o Do they need to pay a fees? No fee if they use frequencies allocated for shared band. Fee shall be paid if military authority applies for frequencies in civil bands. o How long will it take to get the authorization, if applicable? Usually it takes up to 6 weeks to issue the frequency authorization (up to 8 month if frequency coordination is needed). - Who do they need to talk to in case they need to deploy a satellite equipment ?
