This year, the event is hosted by the GZM Metropolis, marking the Congress's relocation to Katowice. Why the GZM Metropolis and Katowice? Upper Silesia, associated for centuries with mining and metallurgy, is presently a hub for green energy and innovation. At the same time, GZM serves as a prime example of how metropolitan transport systems are evolving toward new mobility solutions, benefiting its residents. One of the key goals for the new European Commission is the rejuvenate competitiveness and respond the reindustrialization and new technology investments in China and the US. The automotive industry is particularly impacted by these changes. The EU’s industrial policy and altered supply chains are significant for this strategic sector, which in Poland alone represents 490 thousand jobs and 8 % GDP value. As the transformation leads to zero emission technologies, it creates historic opportunities to strengthen competitiveness and innovativeness of the Polish and EU economies. An adequate policy response and the deployment of the right tools may generate 5% of additional GDP for the Polish economy in 2050. KNM 2025 Goals The 2025 New Mobility Congress (KNM) will feature an intensive program across 7 stages, focused on 6 strategic goals: Clean Transport, Urban Innovation, Sustainable Economy, Infrastructure & Investments, Climate Policy, and Life Quality & Health.
