Dear Colleagues, The Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting (IER) is pleased to invite you to take part in the public discussion “Reconstruction at Risk: Do We Need Changes in Construction Policy?”. According to the World Bank, Ukraine will need more than USD 500 billion for recovery and reconstruction after the war. A significant share of this need is related to construction. But is the sector ready for large-scale reconstruction? Is the current legislation effective, and how does it work in practice? What should be understood and changed to prepare for a massive rebuilding effort — and improve the situation already today? During the event, IER will present the results of its research on the main obstacles currently faced by construction companies. The findings are based on both an analysis of legislation and interviews with representatives of business and government.
