Dear Chief Justice,
I would like to express my gratitude
for the participation ofjudges of the Supreme
Court of Estonia in the International Conference on the Role of the Supreme Court in
Strengthening the Values of the Consiitutiori; whicir.took piace oi'r Septembsr 9;2C22.
We hope that Ms. Laffranque and Ms. Aaviksoo found the conference and
discussions informative and worthwhile. The essential goal of this conference was to
honour the centenary of the Lafvian Constitution and thus on the international level to
exchange opinions on the role of Supreme Courts in strengthening, preserving and
applying the values of the Constitution. Ms. Laffranque's report on Supreme Court of
Estonia between constitution and casssation - a hybrid experience has been a great
contribution to our conference, as it gave rise to several discussions. We will publish the
report in our next biannual Supreme Court Bulletin to make it accessible to a wider circle
of legal specialists.
