Letter of Support
To whom it may concern,
This letter is to confirm that I, the undersigned Kati Tamtik, on behalf of The Consumer Protection
and Technical Regulatory Authority of Republic of Estonia (further on ECPTRA), declare my
support for the Interreg Baltic Sea Region project to develop a compatible EU-wide legislation for
the easier green hydrogen uptake.
The ECPTRA is a supervisory authority to guarantee the national legislation and regulations
developed within this project are followed. That is why we value the consortium with the full value
chain as participation of legislative authorities adds quality to legislation, regulations, and
technical standards. Developing the legislation in question will widen the opportunities in the EU
to move on the course of green energy and smaller ecological footprint.
We recognise the biggest challenge in most of the Baltic Sea Region countries today is getting the
right policies and regulations in place to build up a green hydrogen infrastructure and to initiate
first green hydrogen projects. The Interreg Baltic Sea Region programme is a source of EU funding
for those with smart ideas to shape the region. Creating quality legislation, regulations, and
technical standards will open the path to cleaner environment and will widen the prospects for
sustainable sources of energy.
I confirm that ECPTRA is happy to provide its support and expertise whenever possible. We are
looking forward to seeing the designed pilot in operation. We understand that supporting this call
for proposals does not imply a financial contribution to the cost of the project and that we have no
expectation of a financial benefit from our involvement.
