Edition 1.0.0 of Publication S-102 – Bathymetric Surface Product Specification – was published in 2012 (Reference A). The S-100 Working Group (S-100WG) has continued to maintain and extend this publication, as directed by its programme of work and in response to requests from IHO Member States and other stakeholders. As a result, a draft new edition has been prepared by the S-100WG. 2. In accordance with the procedures outlined in Reference B, the draft new edition has been evaluated by the Member States and relevant stakeholders through the S-100WG and proposed changes underwent a development and testing phase. This process resulted in all proposals being accepted for inclusion in the draft document, which has been assigned a status of “new Edition” due to the significant extensions included in the Specification. 3. The draft new Edition 2.0.0 of Publication S-102 was endorsed by the HSSC at its 11th meeting in May (Reference C). Red-line and clean versions of the draft new Edition 2.0.0, as endorsed by the HSSC, are available at: www.iho.int > Standards & Publications > Draft Publications Awaiting Approval by Member States >S-102 Edition 2.0.0. 4.
