IHO File No. S1/4703 & S1/3096 CIRCULAR LETTER 23/2019 03 May 2019 NEW IHO MEMBER STATE - CO-OPERATIVE REPUBLIC OF GUYANA Reference: Convention on the International Hydrographic Organization Dear Hydrographer, 1. The IHO Secretariat has been informed by the Department (Ministry) of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Government of Monaco that the “Co-operative Republic of Guyana” deposited its Instrument of Accession to the Convention on the International Hydrographic Organization on 18 April 2019. Accordingly, the IHO Secretariat is very pleased to announce that the Co-operative Republic of Guyana has become the 90th Member State of the International Hydrographic Organization as of that date. 2. Separately, the Government of the Principality of Monaco, through normal diplomatic channels, is now informing the States Parties to the IHO Convention that, in conformity with Article XX, the Convention entered into force for the Co-operative Republic of Guyana on 18 April 2019. 3. The IHO Secretariat is delighted to welcome the Co-operative Republic of Guyana to the IHO.
