Ares(2019)3259752 - 17/05/2019 Permanent Representations of the Member States to the EU Mission of Norway to the EU Mission of Iceland to the EU Invitation letter sent by e-mail only Lisbon, 16 May 2019 Subject: Workshop on Monitoring Recognised Organisations - Lisbon, 18 June 2019 Your Excellency, The European Commission (DG MOVE) and the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) would like to invite you to designate one person from the competent authority responsible for, or actively involved in, monitoring and oversight activities of Recognised Organisations, to attend a Workshop on Monitoring Recognised Organisations, that will be held on 18 June 2019 at EMSA’s premises in Lisbon (Praça Europa Nº4, 1249-206, Lisbon, Portugal). The aim of the workshop is to propose, explain and discuss new working arrangements between the Commission, EMSA and the Member States, in view Regulation (EU) 2019/492, amending Article 8 (1) of Regulation (EC) No 391/2009 aimed at improving synergies. The designated person is invited to register on-line for the event by 03 June 2019 at the latest through the following link: https://extranet.emsa.europa.eu/e-register. They should log-in by indicating the following credentials: Username: emsa / Password: guest. Once logged in, they shall be able to access the “EVENTS” button and from there they shall select the relevant link to the event and Register. All information on EMSA Rules on Reimbursement of Expenses to Experts and travelling to EMSA can also be found there. EMSA will cover travel, daily allowance and accommodation costs as per the EMSA Rules on Reimbursement of Expenses to Experts. With respect to the daily subsistence allowance, experts will receive 83€ (a full daily allowance) per day of meeting, or 55€ (i.e. 2/3 of daily allowance) if attending a half day of meeting. As regards accommodation, experts will receive a flat rate of 101 € per necessary overnight stay (no supporting document required) for the invited participants.
