Dear Mr. Aichmalotidis,
Thank you for your comments on our response to Status Report no. 10 for Estonia.
Please find herewith our clarifications regarding certain shortcomings you mentioned in the
analysis of missing Waste and MRS information, made by MSS.
1. Missing waste notifications (September 2018)
In cooperation with the Maritime Safety Division we decided that the first step is to inform
declarants, explain and train them when they need. If this doesn't give any positive outcome,
then the next step is to develop our NSW on the first quarter of 2019 and make waste
notifications mandatory (over 500 GT ships) before arrival notification, as we did with security
notification. As previously mentioned, exceptions have been corrected and submitted according
to SSN rules.
2. Request response for Waste (10 samples)
The rejections were due to the element group'DeliveredAtlastPort'as this is specific to SSN
version 4.0 schema and our messages are being sent in version 3.0. We corrected this issue on 7
November 2018 and after that carried out our waste response tests again. All messages were
processed successfully.

In our comments to the initial Status Report no. l0 for Estonia the missing details availability
issue to MRS request/response will be addressed during the next software development phase
and will be solved in the first quarter of 2019.
