Request to join the International Association of Supreme Administrative Jurisdictions

SUPREME COURT REPUBLIC OF ESTONIA Mrs. Martine de Boisdeffre Secretary General President of the Report and Studies Section Conseil d'Etat Place du Palais-Royal 75100 Paris 0l SP FRANCE Tartu, 9 March2022 Request to join the International Association of Supreme Administrative Jurisdictions Honourable Mrs. Boisdeffre, It was drawn to my attention that the Supreme Court of Estonia is one of the few members of ACA-Europe, who is still not a part of the International Association of Supreme Administrative Jurisdictions, which promotes international cooperation between supreme administrative jurisdictions. Having received detailed information about the activities of the Association, I am convinced thatthe Administrative Law Chamber of the Supreme Court of Estonia would benefit greatly from the international exchange programme for the judges, seminars and congresses, which the Association organises. The Supreme Court is the highest court in Estonia, it reviews court judgments in civil, criminal and administrative cases by way of cassation proceedings and it is also the court of constitutional review. An opportunity to be become a member of the international community created by International Association of Supreme Administrative Jurisdictions, that allows superior administrative jurisdictions to exchange best practices and experiences, is with great importance to us. Therefore, for these beforementioned reasons I would like to forward our request to join the International Association of Supreme Administrative Jurisdictions.
