Dear All,
In view of the closure of the Exchange of Officials programme, the purpose of this e-mail is to
ask once again for your support in its implementation. CHAFEA would appreciate if you could
forward it to the user organisations in your country.
The 2018 programme has been running since March and only a few exchanges have been
successfully conducted so far.
A sufficient amount of budget is still available and CHAFEA would like to encourage potential
beneficiaries to apply for visits. As mentioned in the invitation letter of the call and on the
CHAFEA website, in addition to the standard 3 to 5 working days missions, many other options
could be envisaged, in particular:
One/two days ad-hoc workshops and seminars with a group of participants;
Cross border consultations;
Any events that beneficiaries and host organisations may find useful for the
implementation of the CPC Regulation and the Product Safety Directive.
In all cases, the Exchange of Officials Programme finances travel costs and grant daily
allowances to participants.
The CHAFEA ExO Team in Luxembourg is at the disposal of potential beneficiaries and host
organisations to implement their ideas about the exchanges. They can contact us using the

CHAFEA complemented its website in particular with the "Available offers for Exchanges"
section to enable potential applicants to use a "map browser" to find available offers of
exchanges and contact the concerned Host Authorities.
This tool is now operational but since no offer is currently uploaded on CHAFEA's website
(http://ec.europa.eu/chafea/consumers/exchange-of-officials-index_en.html):
We kindly invite interested organisations to offer workshops, seminars or missions.
New offers from Host Authorities are welcome and can be submitted to CHAFEA through the
above-mentioned link.
We would like to take this opportunity to remind that:
the final date for the submission of applications is 30 November 2018; and
visits must be carried out before 31 January 2019.
for applications submitted in August the starting date of exchange cannot be prior to
17 September 2018.

Edastan info, et Euroopa Komisjon rahastab CHAFEA kaudu tarbijakaitseprogrammi alt
(http://ec.europa.eu/chafea/consumers/index_en.htm ) vahetus- ja õppevisiite ametnikele, kes osalevad
turujärelevalves toote nõuetele vastavuse seaduse alusel või tarbijakaitse-eeskirjade jõustamises
tarbijakaitsealase koostöö määruse alusel.
Võimalik on ametnike 3-5 päevane stažeerimine teise LR asjakohases pädevas asutuses, ühe- või
kahepäevased ametnike õppevisiidid või seminarid teiste LR-de partneritega. Eelnevalt tuleks saada
võõrustajaorganisatsiooni nõusolek. Programmi raames hüvitatakse ametnike sõidukulud ja päevarahad.
Taotluste esitamise tähtaeg on 30.november 2018 ja õppevisiit peab olema läbi viidud 31.jaanuariks
2019.
