Without any proposition of collaboration coming from the EU HOs, the IHO-EU network will not be present in the tasks of the implementation plan. The Shom will try to participate to the "governance" and "founding" orientations in name of the EU- HOs. In other hand, as you know, an important meeting to promote the EOOS perpective will be organized in Brussels on 21-23 Nov in Brussels. http://www.eoosconference2018.eu/ Two posters sessions will take place during this conference, which include a 1-minute pitching opportunity for each poster presenter. We suggest to present posters during this poster session and we must send an abstract (limited to 500 words);before 2nd of July. (see below) The Shom will send a proposition or for "Ocean observation gaps and requirements, and solutions to tackle the challenges"; or for "From standalone to integrated ocean and coastal observing platforms"; We would need voluntaries to present the other poster and a poster for "Regional ocean monitoring efforts".. Baltic Sea for example? Other?? The Shom will not be allowed to present different posters, even if we represent a network. We will organize a plenary session of IENWG on 20th of november in Brussels, and will organize a special session with Glenn Nolan and Iain Shepherd to present them a position paper and the interest to have the HOs on board for EOOS. We thank you to save the date. We thank you to send us your proposition of participation to the posters session and a 500 words abstract before the 27th of June. Kind regards, Corine LOCHET Executive Secretary IENWG Laurent Louvart, Chair EOOS EVENT POSTERS; Guidelines:http://www.eoosconference2018.eu/node/110 The Poster abstracts should be relevant in the context of EOOS and related to one of these themes:  Economic and non-economic value of ocean observing and monitoring;  Ocean observation gaps and requirements, and solutions to tackle the challenges;  Sharing efforts and collaboration across sectors and communities;  Regional ocean monitoring efforts;  From standalone to integrated ocean and coastal observing platforms;  Citizen Science for observation and monitoring;  Ocean observing for Industry: What are the needs and benefits for society?  Ocean observation and Human Health: Monitoring needs and benefits;  Future look at the next generation of observing & monitoring tools and approaches;  EOOS: Sustainability, future priorities & next steps.
