We present this invitation on behalf of the Polish and broader European sustainable transport sector, as well as all stakeholders engaged in and supporting the wide-reaching transformation of mobility—an evolution influencing multiple areas of our economy, society, and environment. Partnership for sustainable mobility The New Mobility Congress - KNM 2025 is the largest economic conference and EXPO dedicated to the sustainable development of transport in Central and Eastern Europe. It brings together thousands of new mobility and zero emission technology stakeholders, including but not limited to decision makers, industry players and leaders, market practitioners, government and local administration, diplomacy, academics and non-governmental organizations. The event makes for a unique forum for the discussion regarding just and sustainable transformation, as well as creating the space to showcase the most innovative technologies and solutions all focused on decarbonization. The Congress is organized by the New Mobility Association - PSNM, the leading trade organization to represent sustainable transport in the European Union, with almost 300 members and over 150 institutional partners, who jointly provide over 500 000 jobs in Poland alone and generate over PLN 500 billion turnover (which made up for 16% of the Polish GDP in 2022). This year, the event is hosted by the GZM Metropolis, marking the Congress's relocation to Katowice. Why the GZM Metropolis and Katowice? Upper Silesia, associated for centuries with mining and metallurgy, is presently a hub for green energy and innovation. At the same time, GZM serves as a prime example of how metropolitan transport systems are evolving toward new mobility solutions, benefiting its residents. The venue of the Congress, the MCK, is amongst the largest European tradeshow arenas combining the functionalities of congress, exhibition and meeting spaces which all together will allow for the event to reach an international and substantial scale. Unprecedented opportunity for the Polish economy The dynamic development of new mobility is increasingly affecting the shape of the global economy. One of the key goals for the new European Commission is the rejuvenate competitiveness and respond the reindustrialization and new technology investments in China and the US. The automotive industry is particularly impacted by these changes. The EU’s industrial policy and altered supply chains are significant for this strategic sector, which in Poland alone represents 490 thousand jobs and 8 % GDP value. As the transformation leads to zero emission technologies, it creates historic opportunities to strengthen competitiveness and innovativeness of the Polish and EU economies. An adequate policy response and the deployment of the right tools may generate 5% of additional GDP for the Polish economy in 2050. KNM 2025 Goals The 2025 New Mobility Congress (KNM) will feature an intensive program across 7 stages, focused on 6 strategic goals: Clean Transport, Urban Innovation, Sustainable Economy, Infrastructure & Investments, Climate Policy, and Life Quality & Health. It will include a large exhibition showcasing zero-emission technologies and innovative products, with over 12,000 m² for producers and suppliers to present their solutions. The KNM EXPO will also host National Pavilions, Smart City Pavilions for urban mobility and municipal solutions, and Green Energy Pavilions showcasing modern energy technologies. Additionally, the event will feature the second edition of the New Mobility Scientific and Technical Symposium and the Startup eHub for innovative entrepreneurs.
