Teema: Invitation | Ukrainian Cinema Club in Estonia | Documentary short films "Culture vs
War"
Manused: Invitation_Minister_of_Culture_film_Culture_vs_War_Association_of.doc
Dear Minister of Culture!
On behalf of the Association of Ukrainian Organisations in Estonia, I am honoured to invite
you to the screening of documentary short films "Culture vs War"/"Культура проти війни",
which will take place on October 25th at 6 p.m. at the Viimsi Raamatukogu (Viimsi,
Haabneeme, Randvere tee 9)
The screening is organized by the Association of Ukrainian Organizations in Estonia in
collaboration with the Association "Watch Ukrainian!”/”Dyvys Ukrayinske!" and with the
support of the Embassy of Ukraine in Estonia as part of the Ukrainian Cinema Club in
Estonia!
Your presence at this show will highlight the significance of maintaining the deep friendship
between Ukraine and Estonia. We would be grateful if you could make a small speech at the
beginning of the screening.
The screening of the films is part of the comprehensive project "Culture vs War" initiated by
the Association "Watch Ukrainian!" to document and convey the truth about Russia’s war
against Ukraine through the stories of the struggle of well-known artists who joined the ranks
of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as cultural figures actively engaged in active
volunteer activities.
The heroes of the 4 novels are: Akhtem Seitablaev (director, actor), Taras Kompanichenko
(kobzar), the band "Antitila", Vlada and Kostyantyn Liberovy (photographers).
The film tells the world about the values and meanings of Ukrainian culture that help
Ukrainians resist the aggressor with dignity, as well as Ukrainian artists who put their
creativity on hold to defend Ukraine.
The project "Culture against war" was created by the Association "Promotion of Cinema
Development in Ukraine - Watch Ukrainian!" with the support of the European Union in
Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the "MHP-Gromadi" Foundation and the
“Babylon” Company.
The film will be screened in Ukrainian with English subtitles.
We sincerely hope for your favourable decision and await seeing you among our esteemed
guests.

Dear Inna Hordiienko,
Thank you very much for the information. Unfortunately, our minister was busy with other commitments at the time of the film screening and could not attend the event. Due to such a short notice, we were unable to send someone else from our management to represent our Ministry, as their calendars are booked weeks in advance. We hope that the screening went well and we look forward to support your future events.
Best regards
