As there has been some changes during last years regarding Estonian NRA, let me also give You a brief overview of our institution as of today. Estonian Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority (ECTRA) was formed by merging 2 authorities (Consumer Protection Authority and Technical Regulatory Authority) in the beginning of 2019. Currently we have 6 departments: Technical Department, Transport Department, Communications Department, Consumer Environment Department, Construction Department and Department of Supporting Services (lawers, accounting, etc.). The authority is operating in the administrative area of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications and its main goal is to regulate the market in the fields of transport, railway, media, technology, construction, communications and consumer protection. Regulation of media services market is currently done by the Communications and Media Services Division, that is part of Communications Department, but some structural changes are confirmed to take place in May 2021, when the scope of regulation of media services will be transferred to the new Entrepreneurship Department.
