Dear colleague,
The third pre-RC73 side event – " A more relevant and responsive WHO:
delivering impact in countries – sharing experiences and opportunities” –
will take place virtually from 10:00 to 11:30 (CEST) on Monday, 16 September
2024.
This side event will reflect on the impact of WHO's enhanced country-level
collaboration through real-life examples from Member States, reaffirming
WHO's commitment to prioritizing country needs. It will serve as a platform
for sharing experiences and exploring opportunities for further
collaboration and improvement, within the framework of WHO/Europe’s Country
Strategy ( <https://iris.who.int/handle/10665/362022> EUR/RC72/14).
Join us to hear and learn from our distinguished speakers about how
partnering with WHO has strengthened national public health policies in
Romania, prioritized health in Kyrgyzstan’s political agenda, launched a NCD
Prevention Policy Framework in Malta, and established a prevention institute
in Germany.

Уважаемые коллеги!
Третье сопутствующее мероприятие в преддверии РК-74, под названием "Более
актуальная для стран и способная к оперативному реагированию ВОЗ:
обеспечение максимального эффекта на уровне стран – обмен опытом и
возможностями", пройдет в виртуальном формате с 10:00 до 11:30 по ЦЕЛВ в
понедельник, 16 сентября 2024 г.
Мероприятие, призванное подтвердить приверженность ВОЗ обеспечению, в
приоритетном порядке, потребностей своих государств-членов, будет посвящено
обсуждению эффекта от наращивания деятельности ВОЗ на уровне стран, на базе
реальных примеров из практики. Его участники обменяются опытом и обсудят
возможности для совершенствования дальнейшего взаимодействия в рамках
Стратегии сотрудничества между ЕРБ ВОЗ и государствами-членами в Европейском
регионе (EUR <https://iris.who.int/handle/10665/362025> /RC72/14).
На сопутствующем мероприятии прозвучат доклады о том, как партнерство с ВОЗ
поспособствовало укреплению национальной политики в области общественного
здравоохранения в Румынии, обеспечению первоочередного внимания к теме
здравоохранения в политической повестке дня в Кыргызстане, реализации
рамочной программы по профилактике НИЗ на Мальте и учреждению института
профилактики болезней в Германии.

A more relevant and responsive WHO: delivering impact in
countries – sharing experiences and opportunities
Overview
This side event will reflect on the impact of WHO's enhanced country-level
collaboration through real-life examples from Member States, reaffirming WHO's
commitment to prioritizing country needs. It will serve as a platform for sharing
experiences and exploring opportunities for further collaboration and improvement.
These country experiences are drawn from WHO/Europe’s new “Country Impact
Report”, which will complement the Regional Director’s Report at RC74. The report
compiles collaboration stories from all 53 Member States in the European Region,
providing learning from successes and identifying areas for improvement. This work
has been guided by WHO/Europe’s Country Strategy (EUR/RC72/14) and overseen by
the 31st SCRC subgroup on WHO/Europe’s work at the country level.
