Dear Presidents,
Concerning the proposal of President Šikuta to organize the Board Meeting in Ljubljana on 21 and 22 October 2021 instead of on 25 and 26 November 2021, I am informing you that due to other engagements the Supreme Court of Slovenia is not in a position to host two international events consecutively ? the 2021 Conference of Chief Justices of Central and Eastern Europe and the Board Meeting. Therefore I recommend to stick to the proposed dates of 25 and 26 November 2021. If the pandemic prevents us from meeting in person, then I am available to join the online meeting on 21 October 2021 as proposed by President Limperg.
In early 2020 we have sent a questionnaire to the members of the Board about reasoning of Supreme Court Judgments. We have already received the answers from certain Supreme Courts, so I propose to discuss the answers at the Board Meeting in Ljubljana. We will send you a compilation of answers at least a month before the event. Since we have some new members of the Board (Presidents of the Supreme Courts of Belgium, Czech Republic, Estonia and Slovakia), I kindly ask the new members to complete the attached questionnaire till 30 September 2021.
