Dear Anu & Rene, I guess that you both are busy so let me get straight to the point: I would like to schedule a Skype-meeting with the purpose to present Clean Shipping Index and how the tool is used today by the Swedish Government to differentiate Swedish fairway dues. Background: The Swedish Maritime Administration started using Clean Shipping Index on 1 January 2018 and the system is now up and running. We are now in the process of researching on what basis our neighboring countries around the Baltic Sea could unite in order to lower the environmental impact from shipping. From our side, me and Rickard Lindström (Director and Methodology Expert) will attend the meeting. We would like to understand your current fairway dues. Moreover, offer our support in a possible implementation of a differentiated system based on vessels’ environmental performance -similar to Sweden's.
