Dear Minister,
We have the pleasure of inviting you to a Ministers-only informal half-day strategic
foresight retreat on the “Future of Transport”, co-organized by the United Nations Economic
Commission for Europe (UNECE) and the World Economic Forum in the afternoon of
10 February 2025 at the Forum’s headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.
The retreat will be held on the occasion of the eighty-seventh annual session of the
UNECE Inland Transport Committee (ITC), to be held on 11 – 14 February 2025 at the Palais
des Nations in Geneva.
The retreat will engage Ministers in an informal closed-door conversation on the future
of transport and mobility, with a view to identify key actions to be taken to achieve the most
sustainable and productive future visions for the transport industry. It will rely on strategic
foresight as methodology.
In line with the Forum’s policy, you are cordially requested to confirm your
participation at the strategic retreat by Friday 24 January. Questions and information can
