Honorable Chief Justice Kõve,
I am addressing You this letter in light of our Court's continuous efforts for membership to the
Conference of European Constitutional Courts (CECC).
As you may well be aware, the XVIIIIh Congress of the CECC will be hosted by the Constitutional
Court of the Czech Republic in Prague üa video-conference, on 24 - z6 February 2c.2:^.
Allow me to kindly remind you of the prolonged and unfair denial of the membership of our Court
in the CECC either due to procedural obstacles or political reasons. In the last Congress of the
CEcc held in Batumi in June 2e77'the application of our Court was not reüewed at all upon the
request of the host due to political circumstances in the Republic of Georgia and its standing
towards the Republic of Kosovo. As a member of the World Conference on Constitutional Justice
since zor4, the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo has every right to become a
member of the CECC. It is an institution like any other member court of this organization, which
with its work and decisions rendered thus far has managed to prove its independence, integrity
and be respected by its counterpart courts in the region and beyond.
My initial intent was to personallyüsit you at the Court and discuss this matter into more details,
but considering the current circumstances and strict restrictions on cross border travel, I would
very much appreciate it if you would be available for a brief conversation iaZoomor phone call,
at the time of your convenience in coming days before the Congress.
Members of both our Cabinets could further coordinate the technical details on the timing of the
online or phone conversation.
