Subject: RE: Request for Interview Undergraduated Thesis Research from Indonesia
Dear Intan Hendrawati,
Thank you for showing interest in the Estonian criminal procedure. Unfortunately we are unable to provide answers to your questionnaire within such short notice.
Moreover, it seems that Your questions are aimed more towards criminal procedure in the first instance courts (county courts in the Estonian court system) rather than the procedure taking place at the Supreme Court. For more information please see https://www.kohus.ee/en and https://www.riigikohus.ee/en.
We wish you every success with your research!
With kind regards,
Karin Leichter-Tammisto

Jakarta, January 7th 2021
Chief Judge of Supreme Court Estonia
17 Lossi St, 50093 Tartu Estonia

Dear Your Honour, Chief Judge of Supreme Court Estonia,
Let me introduce my self first before I convey my purpose for sending this letter. My name is Intan Hendrawati, Undergraduate Student from Faculty of Law Universitas Indonesia. I'm doing the research for my undergraduate thesis entitled "Online Criminal Trial During COVID-19 Pandemic In Indonesia: Comparison with Estonia and United States".
The reason I study comparative law with Estonia's criminal procedure law is because Estonia known as digital republic, which so impressive, and the criminal procedure law is impressive too, especially regarding e-file system and telehearing uses criminal proceeding in Estonia.
With this letter, I really need an answer from judge in Estonia for my research. I have asked Estonia Consulat in Indonesia, but I still can't get the answer. There is 12 questions I attach on this latter. Because my undergraduated thesis must be rooted before January 15, 2020, May I get that the answer be given before January 12, 2020?
I really hoping that judge on Supreme Court Estonia may help me for this research. I really appreciate your time. Thank You so much.
Sincerely,
Intan Hendrawati
