The Circular Letter in Reference C proposed to Member States to pursue, until the 2nd Session of the Assembly (A-2), the adoption process of the recommendations made by HSSC and IRCC that was in force before the establishment of the Council. The Secretariat of the IHO thanks the 53 Member States that replied to Reference C: Algeria, Argentina, Australia, Bangladesh, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Croatia, Cyprus, Ecuador, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Iran (Islamic Republic of), Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea (Republic of), Latvia, Malaysia, Malta, Mauritius, Monaco, Morocco, Netherlands, Nigeria, Norway, Oman, Pakistan, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States of America and Uruguay. 2. All 53 Member States supported the continuation of the adoption process that existed before the establishment of the Council. Three Member States (Chile, Indonesia and Islamic Republic of Iran) offered short supporting comments in addition. 3. The HSSC and IRCC are now developing draft amendments to their Terms of References (TORs) and Rules of Procedure (ROPs) in accordance with the decisions made at the 1st meeting of the Council (See Reference B, Action C1/05), taking also into account the outcome of the work for amending the IHO Resolution 2/2007 (See Reference A), which is in progress as well. These draft amendments to the HSSC and IRCC TORs and ROPs will be submitted to the Committees (no later than in 2019, at HSSC- 11 and IRCC-11) and then to the Council (no later than in 2019 at C-3), with the aim to submit to the Member States, for discussion and approval at A-2, consistent versions of the HSSC and IRCC TORs and ROPs and of the IHO Resolution 2/2007 as amended.
