IHO File No. S3/2513 CIRCULAR LETTER 18/2018 14 February 2018 APPROVAL OF THE WITHDRAWAL OF IHO PUBLICATION B-7 - GEBCO GUIDELINES Reference: IHO CL 63/2017 dated 14 November – Call for Approval for withdrawal of IHO Publication B-7 – GEBCO Guidelines. Dear Hydrographer, 1. The Reference proposed the withdrawal of IHO Publication B-7 - GEBCO Guidelines - as recommended by the GEBCO Guiding Committee and endorsed by the IHO Inter-Regional Coordinating Committee (IRCC) and IHO Council. 2. The IHO Secretariat thanks the 53 Member States that replied to the Reference: Algeria, Argentina, Australia, Bangladesh, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Croatia, Cyprus, Ecuador, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Iceland, India, Indonesia, I.R. Iran, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Malaysia, Malta, Mauritius, Monaco, Morocco, Netherlands, Nigeria, Norway, Pakistan, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Rep. of Korea, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Tunisia, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States of America, Ukraine, Uruguay and Venezuela. No negative replies were received. 3. When the Reference was issued there were 87 Member States of the IHO with three States suspended. In accordance with the provisions of the Convention on the IHO as amended, the minimum number of affirmative votes required was 28. As a result, the proposed withdrawal of IHO Publication B-7 has been approved.
