Subject: Invitation to COSS 43 – Brussels, 7 November 2017
The European Commission wishes to invite government representatives of the Member States
to attend the forty-third meeting of the Committee on Safe Seas and the Prevention of
Pollution from Ships (COSS), established by Regulation (EC) No 2099/2002 of the European
Parliament and of the Council of 5 November 20021.
The meeting will take place on 7 November 2017 at the Albert Borschette Conference Centre
(CCAB), 36 rue Froissart, 1040 Brussels (metro Schuman), room 4A, starting at 10.00am.
The draft agenda of the meeting is annexed. Other relevant documents will be sent according
to the Committee's rules of procedure and uploaded onto the CIRCABC website.
Interpretation services will be provided at the meeting, to and from, English, French, German,
Italian and Spanish.
Travel costs will be reimbursed for one representative per Member State on the basis of the
most economical air-fare or the first class train fare (for all return journeys with a total
distance of less than 800 km), upon the presentation of travel tickets and boarding cards. Each
representative is requested to provide the necessary documents for reimbursement of travel
expenses to the meeting's secretary in accordance with the financial regulations applicable to
the Commission, at the latest within 30 calendar days from the date of the meeting,
postmarked, fax date or mail as applicable. After that period, the Commission will not assume
any obligation to reimburse travel expenses.

attend the meeting at your earliest convenience to the functional mailbox:
