Dear Minister,
making Europe fit for the future requires enormous investments. Public money will not be
enough for this, we therefore need to activate better private savings and investment which
benefits the European economy and European savers alike. This is an important deliverable
to secure and strengthen European sovereignty in times of geopolitical shifts.
Therefore, the initiative for the “Finance Europe” investment label comes at the right time. It is
a first very good project to show that interested MS can move the needle and help getting closer
to our common goal, a genuine Savings and Investment Union.
Much work has been done to make the “Finance Europe” label a reality since the signing of the
term sheet in Paris on 5 June 2025.
I would like to invite you to join me together with high-level market participants for a public
event to discuss ways to better mobilise European savings for financing our economy and to
mark the launch the actual application of the “Finance Europe” Label.
I would therefore be delighted to welcome you in Berlin on 15 September 2026, from 13:30 to
15:30.
