Note: 130/2024 The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Republic of Estonia presents its compliments to the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications and has the honor to inform the latter as follows: The election of the members of the UNCITRAL for 2025-2031 wilI be held during the 79th session of the General Assembly on l3rd November 2024. The government of People’s Republic of China has registered for the election. The United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) is the core legal institution of the United Nations in the field of international trade law. China, as a member of UNCITRAL since 1983, has been actively participating in the formulation and irnprovement of international commercial rules. It is believe d that China’s re-election would benefit the work of UNCITRAL and prornote the fairnes s, justice and consistency ofglobal economic governance. It will be highly appreciated if the Republic of Estonia could lend the valuable suppor t to China in the upcoming election and provide a written confirmation.
