Information on prices paid by mobile operators for spectrum licences Dear Stefan, I added some data into your table in the part of licence fee paid and in the part of annual fees. Please also find some clarifications: 1. Licences in Estonia are valid for one year and are extended annually after the payment of the annual state fee. That means that the period of validity is not limited, excepted cases when the conditions for the use of radio frequencies are amended by coming of new technology instead of old one or necessity to implement European or ITU regulation. In that case we may limit the validity of the licenses to two years after the above-mentioned restriction is published in the National Frequency Allocation Table. I think, that you have taken the information concerning the validity of licences until 2030 from the EFIS system. We inserted 2030 there because the expiry date is obligatory in the EFIS system and it’s not possible not to insert it. 2. In the part of licence fee paid I added some numbers to 2100 MHz licences. These fees come from early 2000 when 3 UMTS licences were granted to the GSM operators with the fixed price of 70 000 000 Estonian kroons and the forth licence was granted by an auction with the start price of 70 000 000 Estonian kroons in 2006. Later this licence (2x15 Mhz) was traded to Tele2. I also added some numbers to the two 2x20 MHz licences in 2600 MHz band. We had Public competition two times for this band. First was in beauty contest format with the start price of 5 000 000 Estonian kroons (two licences 2x20 MHz) . Second was auction. We also had some trading cases in this band before in between beauty contest and auction. 3. The empty fields in licence fee paid part means that the licences were granted based on the fist come first served principle (no licence fee). 4. And finally I calculated and added annual spectrum fees for all licences specified in your table. Please note that the unit for licence fee and annual fee in the table is euro.
