Honorable President Kove,
I am addressing You this letter in light of our Court's continuous efforts for membership to üe
Conference of European Constitutional Courts (CECC).
As you may well be aware, üe application of the Constitutional Court of Kosovo for associate
member of the Conference of European Constitutional Courts as well as the request to be admitted
as an observer did not receive the required majority of votes at the Circle of Presidents held in
May zot4, in Vienna.
At the XVIIth Congress of the CECC held in Batumi in June 2oL7,the application of our Court was
not reüewed at all, upon the request of the President of the Constitutional Court of Georgia, Mr.
ZazaTavadze, to postpone the consideration of the application to a later date.
The President of üe Constitutional Court of Czech Republic, Mr. Pavel Rychetslcf, has informed
our Court in the capacity of the Chairman of the XVIIIIh Congress of the CECC, to be held on 27
May zozo in Prague, that the application of üe Constitutional Court of Kosovo for associate
member of the CECC will be reüewed at the Circle of Presidents in Prague, preceding the XVI[tt'
Congress.
In light of these upcoming events, I would be most grateful and honored if You could once again
consider our application and lend Your support for admission of our Court as an associate
member to üe CECC wiüin the framework of the forthcoming Circle of Presidents.
Your support would be of paramount importance for our Court's further development and its
institutional and international consolidation. As a fellow European constitutiõnal court, its
membership to üe CECC would also contribute to furüer bolstering of the European standards
of human rights and of the rule of law in üe Republic of Kosovo.
4ll relevant documents regarding our Court's application for admission to the CECC, translated
into four languages: Englišh, Geiman, French änd Russian, have already been forwaraea to trre
}tesident of üe Constifuüonal Court of Czech Republic, Mr. Pavel Rychetslcf, as the chair and
host of the XVIIIIh Congress of CECC.
