We understand your e-mail that way, that the paint system has been applied completely on the different parts of the tower, and that for visual reasons due to welding dust contamination the finish coat will have to be redone. If this is the case, please find below the answers to your questions : - Use Stelpant-PU-Cover for recoating - Of course the surface will have the be cleaned first, for example with high pressure cleaning, in order to eliminate all contaminations as well as possible salt deposits - The old Stelpant-PU-cover paint will have to be roughened up in order to obtain sufficient adhesion - If the planned paint system has been applied, one topcoat will be enough for overcoating As the product Stelpant-PU-Cover UV will reach already 7,5 months on 15th June, it is possible that the material already prereacted and can no more be used. Should the product still be normally fluid, so that it can be applied easily without adding Stelpant-PU-Thinner or with a maximum of 5 % of Stelpant-PU-Thinner, the product can be used. If you remember in autumn we have a problem, the surface for the tower two sections didn t was the same, because we painted tower sections in different workrooms, and in one hall was welding dust. To recoating we bought from you in autumn the colour, but we didn t use this colour in autumn, because the weather was bad, and we agreed with customer, that we do rcoating in spring. The colour what we at last bought from you – can we use this until 15 june. (Usually you have usage time 6 months) My customer want that you will write following things: 1. Colour name what we plan to use for recoating 2. Do we need to clean the surface. If we must to clean , how we must to do that or what is the material to do it 3. If we in autumn talked then I understood that we must to coarsen the surface 4. How much layers we must to put.
