Kære Frederikke,
Mange tak for din e-mail.

Subject: RE: Meeting at the Ministry of Culture of Estonia
Dear Estonian Ministry of Culture,
Thank you for your letter, I am glad you are open to meeting with the Moldovan
delegation while in Tallinn.
Fortunately, we have been obliged to move the visit to December. More specifically to the
15th and the 16th of December. Would the Ministry and the relevant experts be available
then?
Concerning topics, the Delegation will consist of both representatives from the ministry of
finance, ministry of culture, municipal department and parliamentary commissions. And
further, we will bring artists from the independent sector. The group is specifically
interested in
- the Cultural Fund of Estonia and how it judicially has been established – what are
the positives and the negatives of having this fund (we meet with them of course)
and how is the relation to the ministry in terms of ownership, influence, financial
model, and administration. In Moldova right now, there are several different funds
that support different sectors and the delegation is currently working towards a
Moldovan model.
- culture’s value in society (how does it benefit Estonia) and the impact of Culture
(also independent sector and educational sector).
- Cooperation and inclusion of civil society in the ministry’s work.
If possible, I am also able to meet online for a short talk before the visit to describe the
circumstances in detail.
Best regards,
Frederikke Thorning Jacobsen
