I am pleased to invite you to the upcoming High-Level Conference on Ending
Discrimination Against Cancer Survivors, scheduled for 15 February 2024
(9:00-17:00) at the Palace of the Academies in Brussels. This conference
is organised under the auspices of the Belgian EU Council presidency and
in collaboration with the Royal Academies of Medicine of Belgium (ARMB and
KAGB).
The event will bring together a diverse group of key stakeholders,
including cancer survivors, national and EU policymakers, legal experts,
and representatives from insurance companies. Among other esteemed guests,
Commissioner for Health and Food Safety, Stella Kyriakides, and
Commissioner for Financial Stability, Financial Services and the Capital
Markets Union, Mairead McGuinness, Belgian Minister of Health and Social
Affairs, Frank Vandenbroucke and Belgian Minister of Economy and
Employment, Pierre-Yves Dermagne, will be speaking at the conference.
