Dear Mr. President Villu Kõve,
Acknowledging cooperation that already took place between our courts and wishing to strengthen it, I would like to invite the Supreme Court of Estonia to join our Court in application for grant under recent call for proposals for action grants: “Consolidation of the Justice System in Armenia” (no. EuropeAid/165867/DD/ACT/AMR), where the Republic of Armenia is the beneficiary.
The overall objective of the project is to strengthen the independence, quality, efficiency, accountability and public trust in the Armenian judicial system in line with priorities as identified by the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA) and EU's best practices. The tandem of Lithuanian institutions, including the Supreme Court of Lithuania, the Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania, the Ministry of Justice of Lithuania, the Central Project Management Agency, are intending to participate in the contest. Since objectives and tasks, main expectations of the project oblige to present to beneficiary European standards and best practices in the sphere, we think that participation of your institution would give benefit for the project and its results.
If your Court is interested in participating as a co-applicant, which must be from a different Member States than the lead applicant, we would kindly ask you to join and inform us which part of components of the project or activities you would like to be responsible for.
Currently we are preparing the concept note for application. At an early stage only the concept note form will be valuated. Thereafter, lead applicants who have been preselected will be invited to submit a full application.
Please note that the deadline for submission of concept notes is 23 September 2019.
