Teema: IOJT: Email regarding Proposed Statute Updates - Europe
Dear European IOJT Members, dear colleagues,
The email below (under my signature) was recently distributed regarding proposed updates to the IOJT Statutes. I wanted to confirm everyone did receive this message, as we want to ensure all of you have an opportunity to review the proposed amendments and are able to vote at the General Assembly meeting this September in Cape Town, South Africa. The website<http://www.iojt.org/Members.aspx> does provide interpretation if needed.
We hope you will be able to attend the IOJT Conference<http://www.iojt.org/IOJT-Conferences.aspx>. The conference program is currently being developed-we received an overwhelming response to the Call for Papers. We are confident the education sessions will be invaluable to participants.
Kind regards,
Wojciech Postulski

Dear IOJT Members:
We are busily working with our colleagues in South Africa to finalize the 2019 IOJT Conference<http://www.iojt.org/IOJT-Conferences.aspx> to be held in Cape Town September 22–26. We hope that you have received registration information<http://www.iojt.org/IOJT-Conferences/Registration.aspx> and are planning to attend. We have received over 80 proposals for presentation at the Conference!
As you may recall, all proposed Amendments to the IOJT Statutes for consideration by the General Assembly must be circulated 90 days before the assembly meeting. Therefore, we provide you with the proposed Amendments<http://iojt.org/~/media/Microsites/Files/IOJT/Microsite/IOJT-Proposed-Statute-Amendments-6-27-19.ashx>, followed by an explanation for each. These will be presented to the General Assembly in Cape Town. The current statutes<http://www.iojt.org/~/media/Microsites/Files/IOJT/Microsite/2017-Statutes.ashx> are included, as well as on our website.
The General Assembly will meet on Wednesday September 25 and each Member Institute present may cast one vote. There will be no voting by proxy (see Article 8: General Assembly).
If you have any questions about these recommended Amendments, please do not hesitate to contact IOJT<mailto:
[email protected]>.
Thank you again for all you do to advance judicial training. The public’s trust and confidence in justice is directly connected to well-trained judges. You make the difference!
Warm Regards,
[mary-sig-final]
