PRACTICAL INFORMATION
Conference participation
Conference participation and accommodation are free of charge. Travel costs are covered by
the participant. Please fill out the registration form and return it to the Conference Secretariat
by 15 March 2019 at the latest.
Venue and date
The conference will be held on26 April 2019, atthe seat of the Supreme Court, located at plac
Krasifi skich 21 4/ 6 in Warsaw.
On Thursday 25 April 2019, at7 p.tTr., a welcoming reception will be hosted by the First
President of the Supreme Courl of the Republic of Poland, at Hotel Sheraton in Warsaw.
On Friday 26 April 2019 a dinner will be held for the conference participants.
Accommodation
Accommodation on 25-27 April 2019 at the Sheraton Warsaw Hotel, located in Warsaw at ul
Boleslawa Prusa 2.
Travel
Reservation of flights to and from Warsaw is done by the participant.
Transport
Transport from and to the airport is organised by the conference participant himself,

The Reception and lnformation deskwill remain open during the whole day of the Conference,
in the main hall of the Supreme Court.
Languages and translation
The working languages of the conference will be: English and French; simultaneous
interpretation will be provided.

On behalf of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Poland and on my own behalf I would
like to extend a warm invitation to you, Mr President (or in the case of inability to attend, the
designated Judge of the Supreme Court), to attend the conference organised by our Court in
Warsaw, on25-26 April 2019, under the theme'The Future of Europe Based on the Rule of LaW'.
The participantswill include representatives of the Supreme Courts of the European Union States,
the Court ofJustice of the European Union, representatives of law firms, university professors and
judges.
The working part of the conference will be held at the seat of the Supreme Court on 26
April 2019.
Two sessions are planned, on the following topics:
'The Rule of Low" - Prof. Marek Sofjan, Judge ot the Court of Justice of the Europeon Union
in Luxembourg,
ludges and Europeon Democrocies" - Prof. Ryszord Piotrowsk| University of Warsaw,
'tustice ond lnternotionol Law" - Prof. Mateusz Pilich, University of Worsow.
The conference is expected to end at about 5 p.m.
The working languages of the conference will be: English and French; simultaneous
interpretation will be provided.
Conference participants will be accommodated at the Sheraton Warsaw Hotel, at ul.
Boleslawa Prusa 2, on 25-27 April 2019 (2 nights) - the accommodation costs will be covered by
the organiser.
The conference will be preceded by a welcoming reception at the Sheraton Warsaw Hotel,
in the evening of 25 April 201 9.
